A beautiful, rare IWC Portuguese Double Chronograph in a luxurious 18K rose gold case with a silver dial. The watch has ideal proportions for a contemporary, classic men’s timepiece. It sits well on the wrist and is very comfortable to wear with its brown alligator strap and gold pin buckle. The dial is—as is typical for IWC—easy to read and offers good contrast thanks to the polished hands and numerals. The chronograph features a classic layout and a somewhat elongated profile that exudes understated elegance. IWC has omitted the hour counter and date display on this Portuguese model. This leaves room for the classic 30-minute chronograph function with a continuous seconds hand at 6 o’clock. It’s wonderfully symmetrical and elegant. The surrounding gold Arabic numerals, like the hands, reflect the light. The chronograph minute hand and small seconds hand are blue and, combined with the silver dial, create a beautifully vivid effect. Technically, it features a beautiful IWC caliber (Caliber 76240), which is concealed by the solid case back. It consists of an impressive 260 individual parts and is powered by manual winding. The watch is in perfect condition and comes from a collector’s collection. Unfortunately, the original box has been lost and was disposed of by the original owner. The IWC bears our UK seal of approval and comes with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.
